Black Access Programme – Designed by current York students, this initiative is an opportunity to showcase their honest experiences as Black students at York. Specifically for Black students currently studying at UK sixth forms or colleges, participants who successfully complete the programme could be considered for a guaranteed interview or offer, plus a widening participation offer of up to three grades below the standard offer.
Yorkshire Consortium for Equity in Doctoral Education (YCEDE) – YCEDE is dedicated to widening access to postgraduate research for people of colour, offering an online toolkit providing advice throughout a student’s journey from pre-application to post-doc and careers.
Open Door & TalkCampus – Open Door has a team of mental health practitioners and Student Wellbeing Officers providing support, and students can access 24/7 support via the TalkCampus app, available in over 26 languages.
