• ESRC WRDTP Stuart Hall Foundation Studentships – Through the ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership, the University of Leeds offers up to two Stuart Hall Foundation Studentships for Black British PhD applicants in Social Science. Awards cover full tuition fees and an annual maintenance grant at the UKRI rate (£20,780 in 2025/26). Information for 2027/28 entry will be available in autumn 2026.
  
• School of Music Opportunity Research Scholarship – The School of Music Opportunity Research Scholarship offers one fully funded PhD award each year for UK students from Black, Asian and other minoritised ethnic backgrounds studying in the School of Music. The award covers full tuition fees for three years.
  
• School of History Access to Research Scholarship 2026/27 – The School of History Access to Research Scholarship offers one fully funded PhD award for UK students from Black, Asian and other minoritised ethnic backgrounds commencing in 2026/27. The award covers full tuition fees (£5,006 in 2025/26) and an annual maintenance stipend (£20,780 in 2025/26).
  
• Head of School Scholarship for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students – Open to UK applicants from Black, Asian or other ethnic minority backgrounds, this scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement and is available to students applying for any taught MA in the School of History.
  
• School of Media and Communications Access to Research Scholarship – The School of Media and Communications Access to Research Scholarship offers one fully funded PhD award each year for UK students from Black, Asian and other minoritised ethnic backgrounds. The award covers full tuition fees for three and a half years and an annual maintenance grant at the UKRI rate (£20,780 in 2025/26).
