ℹ️ About the scholarship
The Beit Trust awards postgraduate scholarships at leading British and South African universities, supporting Master’s level study for exceptional candidates. In 2026, the Trust awarded 19 scholarships in partnership with prestigious academic institutions across both countries.
Scholarships are available for postgraduate study only. The Trust does not fund undergraduate degrees or PhD research, though in exceptional circumstances outstanding Beit Scholars may be considered for PhD level support.

- UK partner universities — academic year starting September 2027
- South African partner universities — academic year starting January 2028
The next application window opens September 2026.
💷 Funding Details
Beit Trust Scholarships provide comprehensive financial support for the duration of study, including:
- Full tuition and academic fees, paid directly to the university
- Monthly living allowance
- Economy class flights to and from the study destination
- UK visa, health surcharge, TB test, and biometric costs
- Additional allowances for arrival, laptop, and departure
Please note the scholarship does not extend to spouses or dependants.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a Beit Trust Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a national and permanent resident of Zambia, Zimbabwe, or Malawi
- Live in their country of origin and intend to return following their studies
- Not have already commenced their chosen course of study
