They typically offer paid, structured insight experiences, giving you a genuine look inside the industry, access to senior professionals, and in many cases a direct pathway into their internship or graduate scheme. Places are competitive and deadlines come around quickly, so keep an eye on opening dates and apply as early as you can.

Barclays - Discovery Programme

The Barclays Discovery Programme is a free virtual insight programme that helps you explore careers in banking and financial services. The programme offers multiple pathways including Group Functions (such as Risk, Finance, HR, and Compliance), Technology Developer, Technology Analyst, and Cyber & Security. It also provides direct exposure to Barclays and a potential pathway into their 2026 Summer Internship, with placements in London, Glasgow, or Knutsford. Applications are rolling, so applying early is encouraged.

KPMG - Black Heritage Talent Insight programmes

This paid three-day programme gives you the chance to explore a career at KPMG through either Audit or Tax & Law, with streams for penultimate-year students, final-year students, and recent graduates. You’ll network with senior leaders, develop professional skills, and gain real insight into life at KPMG. If you perform well, there is also a direct pathway to a graduate offer. Make sure you apply to the track and location you’d genuinely want to work in, as any offer will be tied to that choice.

Deutsche Bank - RISE (Black Heritage)

RISE is a free four-day insight programme that helps you explore careers in banking and technology. Primarily aimed at students of Black heritage and open to all degree disciplines, it offers workshops, mentoring, and networking to build your skills and confidence. The programme also provides insight into the bank and a potential pathway into future internship opportunities at Deutsche Bank.

PwC - Black Talent in Business

This is a paid three-day insight programme for Black undergraduate students, based in-person at PwC offices across the UK. You'll choose from business areas including Audit & Tax, Consulting, Strategy, and Technology & AI, and spend three days meeting colleagues, building your confidence, and getting a real feel for life at PwC. Perform well and you could be offered a place on PwC's Summer Internship in 2027 - which can lead to a graduate job.

JP Morgan - Spring Insight Programme

Open to all students from any degree background, JP Morgan's Spring Insight programme runs across London and Bournemouth with three tracks to choose from - Technology, Corporate & General Management, or Wholesale Banking. You'll spend the week in interactive workshops and networking sessions with senior leaders, and if you impress, you could be fast-tracked for a Summer Internship. They actively welcome applications from underrepresented groups, so make sure you apply early!
