Why We Exist

Our website is for students navigating more than just university. Sometimes, the questions we have just aren't being answered honestly. That's why we built this, for us.

Our Story

We know Black students are generalised and overlooked and our needs are reduced to finances or 'aspiration'. The result? The same recycled information for everyone. Founded during the pandemic, Navigate Kin began as a simple shared Google Sheets document. Through our work in student recruitment, we shared curated advice with prospective Black students searching for information that actually felt useful and relevant.

What started as a small effort has now grown into a dedicated platform built to inform, empower and support Black students before, during and after their higher education journey. From choosing a university to thriving once you’re there, StudyKin is here for you.

While universities may update their own information at any time, we aim to reflect these changes in time for application deadlines so you don't miss out. We always recommend checking directly with universities to confirm the latets details.

The frequency of live one on one coaching sessions is determined based on your specific needs and goals. Typically, sessions are scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to maintain consistent progress and ensure ongoing support.

Every university diversity profile is built using official data from HESA (the UK's trusted source of higher education statistics), alongside publicly available information from university websites.

We review our information regularly, but details such as scholarships can change, so we always recommend doing additional checks on the university or funding providers official website to view the full details before applying.
