The networks and mentoring schemes below are here to make it a little easier, connecting you with professionals who understand your experience and can offer guidance, support and community as you progress through your training and into your career.

Melanin Medics

Melanin Medics is a national charity supporting you to pursue and progress in a career in medicine. They offer mentoring, educational programmes, and a strong community of Black medical students and doctors to help you get into medical school, succeed in training, and grow in your career as a doctor.

African Caribbean Medical Mentors

This national charity aims to help you get into and succeed in medicine and dentistry. Whether you're applying to medical school, currently studying, or progressing in your career, ACMM connects you with Black doctors and dentists who can support your journey. Through one-to-one mentoring, workshops, events, and practical resources, they help you build confidence, strengthen your application, and feel part of a supportive community that champions your success every step of the way.

The Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN)

BAATN’s free Each One Teach One mentoring programme supports you if you're of Black, African, Asian, or Caribbean heritage and training to become a counsellor or psychotherapist. You’ll be paired with an experienced therapist who understands your journey, helping you navigate training, build confidence, and find your place in the profession.

Modern Day Medics

Modern Day Medics is a UK platform supporting you as an aspiring or current medical professional from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds. Through mentorship, personal statement support, and a welcoming community, they help you break into and succeed in healthcare, while also promoting Black health equity through awareness campaigns and their podcast.
