Three scholarships are available each year.
  • de Freitas Scholarship – Two £30,000 scholarships are available for Black British students starting October 2026 on either the MSc Marine Environment Management or MSc Marine Vertebrate Ecology and Conservation at the University of Exeter’s Penryn Campus, covering full tuition fees with the remainder paid as a living and travel stipend.
  • The Exeter Scholars Access Award – One Senior Scholar award per campus (Streatham, St Luke’s and Penryn) is being awarded to high-achieving students from Black, Asian or minority ethnicity backgrounds.

  • Postgraduate Taught Scholarships for Nigeria – Automatic £10,000 scholarships are available for international students from Nigeria enrolling on an eligible Masters programme starting September 2026 or January 2027.
